Sponsorship and Donation

Sponsorship

Our productions rely on the great support of the local community, whether that’s through loaning us items for a production, donating materials, or providing financial support. If you are interested in helping to make sure the ‘show goes on’, you can become a show, season, or director’s night sponsor. Please email marketing@huroniaplayers.ca for more information.

Donations

You can contribute to the on-going success of Huronia Players by making a donation today! We are Huronia Players, a completely volunteer community theatre group with, we hope you will agree, rather professional standards. We have both not-for-profit and charitable status.

Thank you so much for your support. You may donate online or by cheque. In either case you will receive a tax receipt and a big thank you from us.

Donate by Cheque

Send your donation cheque to us by mail along with a return address for the tax receipt and any notes you wish to accompany the donation.

Harris Education and Training Fund

Grant Harris
Emily Harris

Grant and Emily Harris were both dedicated to the excellence and success of Huronia Players, but in very different ways. Emily was a decision-maker and served most extensively as our Executive Producer on the board. She inspired us, pushed us to try new things and ended most of her sentences with a warbling laugh. Grant, who told us “I make too many decisions in my daily life” was happy to help assemble and paint sets on stage – always letting us know what was important and what was just extra fluff in our designs. They passed away within months of each other, much too soon at the age of 63.

Emily was a great supporter of professional development in all areas of theatre arts for adult members of Huronia Players and so her friends within the theatre and the community have set up this Memorial Fund for “education and training of adult members of Huronia Players”. The fund may be directed towards workshops in acting techniques, costumes, makeup, prop construction techniques, faux finishing, health and safety training, or seminars for theatre management. We are pleased that we can honour Grant and Emily in this way.

Raymond Holt Technical Fund

Raymond Holt

Raymond Holt was a long-time member of Huronia Players and was key to many aspects of the group’s continued success. Ray served several times as president and was involved with over 200 productions as author, director, lighting and set designer. He also was instrumental in the ongoing search for permanent performance space that eventually led to the new Huronia Players theatre and the Midland Cultural Centre. With his passing, we lose part of the ‘backbone’ of the group.

Since Ray was a strong supporter and experimenter in the technical side of theatre, we have established a fund specifically for upgrading and maintaining our technical equipment. The goal of the fund is to continue Ray’s history of pushing technical boundaries and opening up new types of theatrical experiences.

General Fund

If you would like to help in keeping community theatre vibrant, you can donate to the general fund. This fund helps to offset our production, facility, and infrastructure expenses. Since we are a completely volunteer group, all of your donation will go toward making sure the ‘show goes on’!
